I was given some old material by a person who had an interest in the Blackman name. I came across Frederick in Maryborough very early in the piece. he was an early settler there and had gone to warro. I take it you people use just the bdm records and not the birth certificates. it just sounds odd some things. anyhow, there appears to have been a few blackman people that also include an indigenous line. from your detail, my friend must be tied into a another blackman. Blackman's Gap must be some one else maybe. there was some people in the tairo area by that name, so yes it is very easy teasing. you have done well, I will show my friend your work when I see her soon. Louisa blackman d/o Robert blackman & maira born warroo married 1877 age 21 to Thomas Symons she ended up in Bundaberg and had a child to this other guy who died. she seems to have ended up in the childers district where Symons looks to be mis spelt. it gets a bit trickier from there on. Robert blackman also happened to be a squatter. it is also curious that several other people seem to have ended up in the Fairymead Plantation district. who Maria is will be anyone's guess, but she does appear in other places up that way. I doubt id this is the same as the Childers queen Maria. regards merv.

Frederick Archibald Blackman was my Great Great Grandfather's (Robert Blackman) younger brother. Thankyou.
(requested on 18 01 2016)
I am the direct descendant of Fred Blackman. He had four Sons, Victor, Bertie, Louis and Neville to my Ancestor Granny Rosie Blackman Meerooni (Gurang) Woman from Warro/Thornhill region. Victor Blackman is my Great Grandfather; Through my Father and his Mother. Robert Blackman Was a Brother of Fred's However Robert went back down to the Maryborough Hervey Bay Region. Who is this Merv? Sounds like the famous historian from Bundaberg, he has it wrong with the genealogy of Fred Blackman's lineage, and we have no connection with Queen Mariah, She is only related to some of Robert Blackman's descendants through Towcha Blackman a Kabi Woman.
