Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

Good day I have lived in the Eastern Transvaal Lowveld (now Mpumalanga)of South Africa for over 40 years and have a keen interest in the history of the area. This was where the early South African "gold rush" took place. I am currently doing research on Edwin Bray son of James Bray of Moor Park Harrogate. Edwin Bray left his family at an unknown date for South Africa to prospect. I have found some 42 documents, letters etc. of Edwin Bray in the South African National Archives. Very little is know about Edwin Bray's life before leaving England for South Africa. I have with the help of a number of kind people in Harrogate been able to piece together information on Edwin Bray's family, in particular his father. Photographs have been difficult to find. I was extremely excited to find your website as a photograph of James Bray's grave will certainly be interesting to add to what I have. I have a photograph of Edwin Bray's grave in Pretoria and will gladly mail you a copy should this be of interest to you. Perhaps there are some distant living relatives who will appreciate a photograph of his grave. I look forward to hearing from you and am hoping that you will forward me a photograph of the grave/graves I have requested. Kind regards John Tilly SOUTH AFRICA

Building of family tree
(requested on 06 02 2013)
I have been tracing the family tree of Edwin Bray who found gold in Barberton and became rich and famous. I am trying to see if he is related to me through the Bray's in my family tree, who were also in the mining profession.
