Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

We have traced our Scottish roots back to our 3rd Great Grandfather James Gibson who was the first to come to Canada. We think this grave may be that of our 4th Great Grandfather, Alexander Gibson. We would like to trace the family line as far as we can in Scotland with a view to someday visiting the places our forebears knew. Thank you for helping in our search.
