Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

The Critchleys lived in a small cottage in Halifax, Nova Scotia, which belonged to Mrs. Critchley's father, Sir Sandford Fleming. I am interested in the family history as it pertains to my area of research. They appeared with their two sons in the 1911 census for Northwest arm, Halifax, Nova Scotia. The cottage still stands and Critchley's Wharf is the name that is still used these days for the outcrop of stones that was once their stone wharf at the Northwest Arm.One of their sons died in Nova Scotia.
