Because Cecil Schuurs was my dad. And Tina Schuurs was my Aunty

It his person is my great uncle. It may be the case that his first name has been misspelled here on this page. The correct spelling of his first name is Leendert. If the grave stone is in bad condition, it is understandable that a mistake has been made. But I am rock solid that my spelling is correct. It is a Dutch name and has been passed through generations of my family.

I am doing a family tree
(requested on 26 10 2014)
My father has never known his biological father and on her death-bed his mother told him that it was a man by the name of Cecil Shuurs and he was a postman at Monto in 1941 approximately. That is all we know. I am hoping I have found some connection here. This may sound like a silly question but if he is listed on this grave stone does that mean he has passed? Or has it been reserved? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Kindest Regards Dianne Doyle
