Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

I served with Alex as a RAAF Apprentice at RAAF Wagga, and was his room mate at the time of his passing. His name is not currently on the register of RAAF Apprentices as he did not graduate (died two days before graduation parade). As he completed all of his training, I feel he is entitled to have his name recorded as having served as a RAAF Apprentice. He (his family) should also be posthumously entitled to the Australian Defence Medal as he died during service. Application would need to be made by one of his siblings.
