Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

I work at the Scottish Shale Museum in Livingston and am about to upload a page about William Dornan's accident. He was relatively famous, having played a huge number of football games for Hibs. The use is non-commercial, and I will be happy to acknowledge you as copyright holder.

I am researching a branch of the Thomson family, beginning with Gideon Thomson, 1760-1813, in the Eddlestone, Peeblesshire, area of Scotland. He had a daughter, Margaret 1813-1890, who married John Wilkie 1823-1905, and had a son Adam Wilkie, 1854-1906, who married Margaret Rattray, 1855-1921. They had a son,John T Wilkie, 1891-1959, died in Dumfries, chartered surveyor, who married Mary Jane Dornan born 1891, second husband, who was the sister of William. I have not been able to find place nor death for Mary Jane. By coincidence, although I spent my first seven years in Innerleithen, we then moved to West Calder for a year, on the doorstep of much Dornan family history. Also like one branch of the Dornans, two of my grandfather's brothers settled in the USA.
