Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

Private / Personal genealogical research. I believe John Cooper was the son of Joseph Cooper and his wife Ellen Petty, my wife's 3* great grandparents. Family based in Kirk Deighton for many years but struggling to progress beyond Joseph. Hoping additional details will help expand family knowledge and would appreciate your help

Genealogy. I would like a closer look! I actually do not think this is John the son of Joseph and Ellen Petty. I think that John moved to Sheffield where he married Mary DYSON and had John Dyson Cooper (amongst other children) from whom I am descended. Whereas THIS John is, I think, the one who appears in the 1851 census for Kirk Deighton, having been born at Littlethorpe. I have ticked YES, I want to help but as you can see from my email I am in New Zealand, however if there is something I can do remotely let me know.
