Elizabeth Bedingfield Whetenhall's husband, Thomas Whetenhall (1692) is my 8th great grandfather. I am descended from him and his third wife, Anne. In the description of Elizabeth Bedingfield's portrait on the National Trust site, Anne's name is given as Anne Anglesye, daughter of Francis Saunders, of Shankton, Leics., and of Dame Catherine Jerningham, of Costessey, Norfolk. I would like to clarify the names and dates of Anne's children and determine if the NT has correctly identified her parentage - was she previously married? Thank you, Mary Zashin
