My great-great-great grandfather, Andrew Dewar, was born in Penicuik on 1 July 1803. He move to the USA as young man and lived in North Carolina most of his adult life. His parents were Alexander & Agnes Swan Dewar. Alexander was born about 1770 and died in December 1840 in Penicuik. His wife Agnes died there in February 1848. The William Dewar who is buried here and who died in 1913 is his nephew. There must be other members of the family buried here. Thanks.
