My name is Kathie Weir. I have been researching my ancestry for a good few years. I am directly descended from John Vessie from my father's side, whose name was Adam Sloan Weir. The Vessie's on the memorials are some of his family.ie John. It is thought that the Vessie family came out as retainers for Mary Queen of Scots. I don't know if this is correct. I certainly am unable to find any information about John, my great, great, great. I still have a much to research. Many thanks as I now know where some of my family are at rest.
