The 1st Lord Michelham was forced to sign a document agreeing to settle a fortune on his future daughter-in-law when he was on his death-bed. The scandal was exposed in the early 1920s. Lord Michelham subsequently remarried and the last name on the gravestone refers to his surviving widow.|
