Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

Trying to track Ordery Appleyard family, Old Clee, born approx. 1777. Sent to Australia as a convict 1808. We have a full account of her life there and a reasonable account of her crime. Trying to go back further. Thought she belonged to Amos Appleyard, but recently discovered she's not among his 16 children (two wives;-). Can send a full transcript of her life for any cousins. Thanks, Brian

This woman is my x5 Great-Grandmother, give or take a great. I know nothing about her but know a great deal about Ordery and John Gowen. My maternal Grandfather was descended from these people. He was born in Hawera, New Zealand and had a fairly dodgy past. Thanks for allowing me to send a message. I'd love to hear from possible distant relations. Best wishes.

Like others requesting this headstone, I am a descendant of Ordery Appleyard. I have been brickwalled by some comments left by Ancestry users that suggest her assumed genealogical pathway was not correct. Any further light anyone can shed on this for me would be most helpful. I am assuming someone has put it together with DNA.

This couple are the 6-times-great grandparents of a friend whose ancestors I am researching, via the names Nicholson and Loft (among others).
