Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

I am trying to identify the father of George Harvey Chitty, who was illegitimately born to Hilary Jael Chitty. Hilary worked as a servant in the house of a John Cassey in Ilford, Essex. We think she met the father of the child whilst working for the Cassey family; he may have been a delivery man (just a guess!)We are also guessing she may have named George Harvey after his real father. Perhaps her lover intended to come back for her after the war, but never returned? All just guess work. George Harvey Chitty was brought up by his grandmother, in the mistaken belief she was his mother, to later find out that his 'sister' Hilary Jael Chitty was really his mother. Could your George Harvey be a piece of the jigsaw?
