73 first name on monumentBecame a saddler and practised in Princes St; and finally South St. Andrew St. Appointed Saddler to H. Majesty in Scotland. Married probably in 1798. Father of Marion was a skinner and leather dresser in Coltbridge; Murrayfield. They lived in Coltbridge House. Robert died there and interred under the South Terrace in Vault No. 11. Marion continued to live at Coltbridge House; where died on 24th May; interred in Vault No. 12.

45 son of Robert PatersonEldest son; continued his father's saddlery business until about 1839. He then became a Clerk in the Stamp Office in Edinburgh. Live at Coltbridge House where he died in October; interred in Vault No. 11.

35 son of Robert PatersonSecond son and youngest child. Lived at Coltbridge House where in died in August; interred in Vault No. 11
George Pape
79 son-in-law of Robert PatersonBorn in England; the eldest of two sons and a daughter. Joined the Board of Excise (fore-runner of Inland Revenue) and became Secretary to the Scottish section in 1823. Head office at that time was Dundas House in St. Andrew Square; now the Royal Bank of Scotland. Became Collector of Excise in Dublin when the Scottish board was closed down in 1830. He returned to Edinburgh and married on 1st November 1842. They lived at Coltbridge House where George died on 12th October. He is interred in Vault No. 11. By his will was set up the George Pape charity trust.
