Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

Rev John Jowett's brother Joshia Jowett 1876 married Jane de Coursey Russell, the daughter of John Russell RA (artist to King George lll etc.) The descendant married my uncle James Ralph Hunter-Bailey. Her maiden name Anne Newton. Ann recently died in November 2016. I have met her relatives/cousins who have an interest in Anne's family history. As family genealogist I am putting together this family. A sister Elizabeth Jowett married Rev Josiah Pratt, again another noted C of E priest who also figures in the family history.The early Jowett family were difficult to put together but by finding family names help to establish relationships. For example a niece, Joshua's daughter Jane Shurlock Jowett is found visiting above John on the 1851 census, her middle name came from Joshua's wife Jane's sister Henrietta Russell who married one Robert Shurlock. Some of these early Russell portraits were painted by John Russell RA and can be found on-line on the internet. I would be grateful for any photograph of Rev John Jowett's headstone to show evidence to match with the census return found and the baptism of his in Horsleydown London. Many thanks in advance for any help offered. Hope the background supplied adds interest to the Rev John Jowett's family and relations. Richard
