Family Research and Genealogy. William Scoresby Sr. is my 4th Great Grandfather. My Grandnother was Edith Willey the daughter of George C Scoresby. I would appreciate so much a photo of the monument of a man I have only recently discovered and read so much about. My thanks and appreciation are well expressed in advance.

Good Morning. I come from Germany and I've spent my holidays here since I was 15 years old. The graveyard at St. Marys Church always fascinated me and on one of my last days here I accidentliy found the grave stone of the Scorseby Family. I'm very interested in family trees and own research and I saw then the chair in the church and the history of Rev. William Scoresby. I heard, that even famous people maybe have normal graves on a churchyard and that I found very fascinating. I will try to find out something more about the family in Whitby Museum. So it would be very kind of you, if you could send me a photography of the grave stone. I took some, but iI think they are not so professional. It will be a wonderful remebreance of my time here in Whitby. Thank you very much for your effort and your help. Yours sincerly, Suzana
