We were all sent home for the afternoon after the teachers told us what had happened. I remember her mother coming into our class some time later to speak to the teacher and (I assume) collect a few items from her desk. She was a lovely girl and has never been forgotten by her classmates - I'm still in touch with some of them though we're all nearing 70. |
