Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

I am a descendant of Henry Stafford (one of three Irish brothers who arrived in SA in 1856). One of those brothers, Robert, eventually had a son named Obadiah but I believe there was another man with the same name living c.Adelaide.....I am wondering if perhaps he was the brothers'uncle. I am hoping the headstone may give some clue to his place of birth. Cheers!

Obadiah Stafford was married to Ann Selby. Ann was the daughter of Samuel Selby and Mary Ann Sharpe, my 4th Great Gandparents. Ann was a sister to Adelaide Elizabeth Selby who married William Tripp Edwards. They named their son, my 2nd Great Grandfather, William Stafford Edwards. The name Stafford and Obadiah are recorded as middle names etc throughout the Edwards and Selby lines. Thanks Deb.
