The 1851 census has him living in Barclay Court, Ipswich with his wife Maria and children Henry, Thomas and Mary Anne. He is a paper factory worker. In the 1861 census he is living in Benton St., Hadleigh and is a railway clerk. He is still with Maria and they have three further children - Alfred, Ashton and Jane Eliza (my husband's ancestor).

1897721825wife of Henry Allingham WillsonMaria Willson was born Maria Clayton in 1825 and was the daughter of Samuel Clayton (born 1800, a shoemaker) and his wife Ann Parsons (born 1795). In the 1841 census she was living in Tower Ditches Ipswich with her parents and siblings. She married Henry Allingham Willson in 1847. In 1851 they were living in Ipswich with two children and in the 1861 they were living in Hadleigh. Can't find her on the 1871 or 1881 censuses. In 1891 she was 66 years old, living in Wherstead Road, Ipswich with two of her sons and a grandson. She died in Ipswich in 1897.
