This is the Grave of my Great Grandfather and Great Grandmother. I never knew my Great Grandfather but I remember the day my (Step) Great Grandmother was buried at Shelland Church.

Hacket is my GG-Father

Hackett Whatling was my grandfather and Mabel my step grandmother. My dada Stanley Whatling was the son of Hackett and his first wife Bessie Hammond. Dad died in 2013 the last surviving child of Hackett he was 95. The family was very dispersed and I know I have cousins I have never met and cousins of a wide age range. I have very fond memories of coming to the church at Shelland with Nana and listening with some humour as a youngster to the barrel organ hymns. I'd like this image for my treasure box of ,memories of my grandparents and parents etc which I will pass on to my own grandchildren at some point in the distant future.
