Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

Auckland Libraries has a collection of 35mm colour slides taken by Stapley Farmer. As far as I can make out, he may never have been resident in New Zealand, but travelled here a number of times. He died in NZ in 1970 aged 70, so I feel this must be the same Stapley Farmer commemorated on the gravestone. I'm interested to know if the stone records his place of death! Many thanks
