Leonora (Green) Milnes was a very distant relative of mine. Her grandfather William was a 'Japan' painter and artist(he painted on furniture, tea trays, boxes, watch cases, all made from papier mache and layer upon layer of varnish) her father, William Raphael, an animal painter and her Aunt Ann was a flower artist. Perhaps the most famous in her family was her Uncle Alfred Henry Green, who even during his lifetime was a renowned landscape, portrait and 'family'painter, there are hundreds of his paintings to be found in museums and art galleries. It was through finding his burial in St James the Great, Shirley that I followed the tree to Leonora I would like to join them together again.Thankou for your attention...Diane.
