Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

I believe this is the gravestone of my Great Grandfather -George Fenwick and my great Aunt Edna Mattison - also her son who died in 1942 manning a gun a naval gun ship. My dad died a few short years ago ... now I wish I had taken more note of the family history! Dad's mother was a little bit of a 'free spirit' and I don't know much about her early years. She married at least twice. I understand the Fenwicks were at one time a fairly prominent/prosperous family in Harrogate. It would be lovely to try to piece the story together. Thanking you in anticipation.. and assuring you of my good manners in regards to acknowledgments.. Ann
