 husband of Sarah Ann IllingworthWilliam Illingworth was born in Sutton-in Craven, Yorkshire on 2 Mar 1811. He was christened at Kildwick on 31 Mar 1811. On 22 May 1834 he married Sarah Holderness at Holy Trinity Church, Hull. They had 7 children. Sarah died in 1877. On 25 Jul 1878 William married Sarah Ann Holderness, also of Hull, first cousin of his first wife Sarah. They had no children. William died on 8 April 1886 in Leeds. He was a wholesale grocer.

Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

Sarah was the 2nd wife of my great, great, grandfather William Illingworth of Leeds - wholesale grocer. I am interested to see if the gravestone provides any other information about her. William married two women named Sarah Holderness from Hull (the second was Sarah Ann) and they were first cousins, grandchildren of Thomas Holderness of Howden. It took years to figure out that there were two Sarahs! I appreciate your help.
