Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

My mother died in January this year and I have found lots of old photographs, and decided to make an album with as much information as I can find. I think all schoolchildren should start family trees while grandparents and great grandparents are still alive. I feel so frustrated not knowing who lots of the folks in the photographs are. The Wilkinson family are from my father's side. Dad was an only child and I now have no living relatives on his side. John Wilkinson was my granny's father. I now live in Somerset but was born in Harrogate in 1948. We hope to scatter both mum and dad's ashes in Harrogate next year, so I will definitely visit the gravestone then.
