Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

Arthur is my great uncle he died from wounds from Battle of Jutland. My daughter is visiting England next month so hopefully she can visit his grave. She is going to his brother's grave in Belgium he died a year to the day after Arthur at Passendale. They died a long way from home (New Zealand) but my nana their sister never forgot them.

I am researching servicemen from the Ashburton District in New Zealand who went served in WWI. I would like to put this photo with the original photo of the grave erected after Arthur's death. A copy of the original gravestone is available if your group wish it. I would have thought he would have had a War Grave headstone. I shall make enquiries. Marilyn.

Arthur is my grandmother's brother whose death is not recorded as a result of wounds, but rather, as a result of a fatal disease. All other information, date of death and place of burial, seems to confirm what is already known of him. I am interested in finding other family members and receiving further information. Thanks, Louise.
