Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

I live in Kaukapakapa, New Zealand. Three of William Bonar's sons, and one of his grandsons, were pioneer settlers in this area in the 1800s. I am researching the family as there are no descendants living locally to do this. Re your index: There were no headstones for Elizabeth Frances Bonar (wife of Andrew James) and her brother-in-law (not brother) John William Bonar in the Kaukapakapa cemetery, so the cemetery committee have had a headstone created and placed in the last few years; I think I can send you a photo if my husband helps with the technology. If a headstone exists at Waikumete cemetery for Andrew James Bonar I may be able to find and photograph it. There was another brother to Andrew James and John William - a Thom(p)son Bonar. He died in Auckland in 1878, but there is no burial info on his death cert. I could try to trace his burial. There were also Andrew James' son and grandson. They both died in Rarotonga, and are buried there in a cemetery in Avarua township. I may be able to provide you with photos of these headstones.
