Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

I am a descendant of Mrs Welch's husband, Captain David Welch. His brother, Edwin Welch, came to Australia and is my great-great grandfather. Unfortunately I know very little about Mrs Welch, although I am in the process of researching this part of the family. I do know that she visited Europe in 1889 because of ill health, and that her son, Vernon Welch, was involved in a scandalous divorce in that year. I am happy to pass on what information I do have about the family to anyone researching this family. I have not made any photographs of family graves, but should I start to photograph any family graves I would be happy to share any images that I take.

My great-grandfather worked as a boatman at Virginia Water under Captain Welch. I am very interested to find out what happened to Capt Welch's effects since I am hopeful that there may be photographs of the boating activities. I know that he left everything (Just about) to his granddaughter Caroline, having become estranged from his son Vernon. What happened to Caroline?

I knew very little of my grandmother's family and after a lot of research I've found that David's brother Edwin is my 3rd great grandfather. Edwin came out here to Australia but I knew very little of the rest of his family.
