Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

My Father changed his name from Scaplehorn to Shailer(at the age of 2 in 1914) I came across a large medallion with the name Charles Scaplehorn inscribed on it. It also bore the inscription "He died for freedom and honour. My father died in 1981. He never spoke of his younger days, but Charles was his father. Not long before my father's death the family met my Auntie Maisie of whom I never knew any thing about. I know she mentioned the name of Jasper. Your help already is appreciated by putting these Scaplehorn names down. Many Thanks Brian Shailer Williton Somerset TA4 4JR

This is the grave of my great, grandparents, I am only just finding out about them. Their daughter Ellen ,(maybe a shortened version of a name), married my great grandfather William Hunt and lived in Pontypridd South Wales.I would very much appreciate the time and effort spent sending an image. Thank you, Dee
