Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

Researching my family tree - the Waltons of Scarborough. My g-g-g-grandfather Wallis Walton (b1812) emigrated to Scarborough from northern England in about 1818, with his parents and several brothers and sisters. This Headstone is for Elizabeth Thomson and William Green. Elizabeth is descended from David Thomson and Mary Glendinning. Three of David and Mary's children married three of Wallis Walton's brothers and sisters. But, back to Elizabeth and William Green. Their daughter Margaret 'Maggie' married John Wesley Walton, when both of them were about 38, in 1914. They then went on to have three children. John Wesley Walton was son of Guy Walton. Guy Walton was the son of John Walton and Mary Thomson. John Walton was the brother of Wallis Walton. Are you with me?! Also, John Wesley Walton's sister Isabella Walton donated the land on which Westminster Presbyterian Church was built. It was through researching Isabella that I uncovered this line of my growing family tree. Where do you fit in? Check my site: waltongeni.com - Thanks!
