Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

I am an historian at the University of Sydney researching the grandmother of Susanna's husband- william wheeler thornton. Her name was Judith Philip - a woman of french and african extraction whose own mother was once a slave. She lived in Cariacou Grenada circa 1760-1848 and became a very wealthy slave owner in her own right.I am piecing together her family tree and her descendents and i chanced upon your website when looking up William.
