Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

I hve been researching my Elsdon/Baker family for many years and have just found Isaac and Mary Elsdon details on computer. They are my five times great grandparents and therefore sixth of my daughter and seventh of my grandchildren. I have had such an exciting weekend culminating in finding their grave monument. I cannot wait to find out more and to see if I can trace even further back. My mother Margaret Dorothy Elsdon was born on 16 December 1895 and married my father George Baker on 9 April 1917. I will certainly reply as I am totally absorbed in supplying my grandchildren with as much family information as I can. I am also compiling a family history album containing, thus far, 258 photographs also a time line containing as many snippets of interest, anecdotes and information I can find or remember from my childhood. This is now up to 19 pages and I hope will contain many more.

I want this image for placing in a scrap book for my grandson who is the only male descendent bearing the Elsdon surname coming from Thomas Anderson Elsdon born 12 May 1859 Durham.I believe a direct line from the people in this gravesite.

As you can see from my name I always thought I had a link. After a lot of research I have found that my ancestor is Mary Elsdon who married John Young in Ryton Holy Cross Church in 1815. She was born in about 1790. She subsequently married a miller Robert Stokes and lived in Blaydon Burn from 1840-1850 Elsdon Watson
