Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

I inherited a book from my aunt given to Francis David Dalby from his sister olga I knew about Olga but not Francis I typed his name on google and found that he was my grandad's brother and that he was killed in action in Ypres (we didn't know about Ethel Eliza either. I put some poppies in his book and hope to visit his grave in Ypres and Bramham soon. Thanks very much for your work!!

I have a photo of Francis David as a child. I think that we do not realise nowadays what our soldiers went through and how they were massacred and hope that by knowing what they did for this country, we will learn not to let it happen again. I hope to visit the Tyne Cot cemetry one day an pay our respects and show that he is not forgotten.
