Dear Volunteers: Thank you for this valuable service, and I am sorry some have been so rude as to have failed to acknowledge your work and/or failed to thank you. I have been working on my family's genealogy since the birth of my first grandchild; suddenly it seemed important that I get this information down in one place. My maiden name was Carolyn Hickok; our family history in the United States is well-documented. I have always been told that the original Hickok ancestor arrived in the US in 1636--of course, it wasn't the US then. At some point 55 years ago my father and I were wandering though the Trinity Church cemetery in Stratford-upon-Avon, and he showed me the tomb of a long-ago forebear; the name on the stone was Hiccoxocox or some such thing. I would be grateful for any pictures or additional help you might have. Thank you very much.
