His father was Edward Flowers of Tunnigham Farm and his mother,Charlotte Linnell Roddiss, Edward's third wife. Both are buried in the churchyard at Preston Capes. William was admitted to St John's College, Cambridge in 1848 and completed his BA in 1852. William was ordained at the Church of St James, Wednesbury, Staffordshire in 1853 where he remained until sometime in 1855. It is a mystery as to why he was in Cornwall. |
