Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

Myrtle was my mother's and auntie's childhood caregiver in London in the 1930's and became an adopted member" of our family. I have fond memories of my "Auntie" Myrtle growing up. We visited her numerous times in Ipswich and at Shotley Gate, where she retired. She made the journey to Seattle, USA in the early 1960's just to see my twin sister and I as children. She was the most wonderful, giving person. She mailed the London Sunday Express to us for 35 years straight without interuption. What a dedicated and dutiful woman and an amazing human being. Miss her.
