Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

I am searching the ancestry of my mother, the family Crosby, late of Holme-on-Spaulding-Moor, Yorkshire, and believe Alice Crosby may have been my 15th great-grandmother. I have found records indicating she was married to a Hugh Crosby, late of Whitgift, Yorkshire. They bore a son who became a knight by the name of Sir John Crosby, late of Holme-on-Spalding-Moore, and a grandson by the name of Sir Miles Crosby, of the same location. I have found conflicting data that indicates an Alice Crosby was buried in York County, England, so I am attempting to verify the correct lineage. Any information that you might have to help clarify would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for providing this service!
