Reasons why the image for this memorial was requested

My surname is Flowerday (Jeremy Flowerday) and one of a close family group living on Wirral, Merseyside. I am told my grandfather moved to work here in New Brighton in late 1800's or early 1900's on the New Brighton Tower. My Uncle Ron has done some history on our family tree and he beieved it to be traced back to a village in Kent caled 'Ludham'. He believes we may have come over from France during the extradition (Huganoes)
