I am researching the Hotine family, Martin Hotine is my 2nd cousin 3x removed, the lady listed with him is his wife Kate Amelia Hotine nee Pearson they were Married 9 August 1924. Brigadier Martin Hotine CMG CBE (1898-1968)[3] was the head of the Trigonometrical and Levelling Division of the Ordnance Survey responsible for the 26 year long retriangulation of Great Britain. Thank you in advance Kind regards Steve Chambers
love to help but live in Australia.. My Mother is Brigadier Martin Hotine's niece.
That inigsht's just what I've been looking for. Thanks!
I am conducting a research project into Matine Hotine's military service, after discovering, ( 4 years ago)quite by chance, his miniature medal group ( at that time unattributed)I had to wait 4 years for information regarding his war service to be released before I could identify the group.Little did I know what an important find I had.
Family tree
I am researching my family history, and I believe that Kate Amelia Hotine (ne Pearson) is the aunt of my grandfather, Norman Pearson. Norman was brought up in an orphanage, and I have been trying to find out more about his family. That is why I am eager to find out more about Kate Amelia, and if possible to make contact with descendants of hers who may know something of the family history. It would be great to check the details on this headstone. Many thanks indeed for your assistance.
These are my grandparents and I’m trying to confirm birthdate of my grandfather
