Frequently asked questions (FAQ)

How to I notify the GPR that I have discovered an error on the database?

Because the information held on the GPR has been extracted from the grave monument photographs that volunteers have taken, errors can occur. These errors are likely to occur for the following reasons:

  1. the text on the monument is difficult to read and numbers such as "3" and "8" can be confused
  2. a simple typing error
  3. a relationship is either not given or relates to a different name on the monument

Another error that can occur is when a name is listed but it is not on the monument. This can happen when the information from two adjacent graves is accidently merged.

To get errors corrected, please let us know about them by using our error notification page.
