Frequently asked questions (FAQ)

Amount of detail displayed on the GPR website

The GPR website detects the width of the browser window that is displaying its web pages.

Depending on the which web page is being displayed, its format will change as the size of the browser window changes. This is so that the page will be legible whether it is being viewed on a smart mobile phone, a tablet, laptop or a desktop PC with a huge monitor screen.

Part of this process will change the size of the character fonts that are displayed. If this did not happen, the text and links on a smart phone could be too small to read or use.

If a list is being displayed then the amount of detail shown within the list will also change. The smallest amount of detail will be listed on narrow screens whilst wide screens will see all details.

If you are using a smart mobile phone or a tablet, you will probably see more details if you change the viewing position from portrait to landscape.

Each name held on the database has its own webpage. These webpages should display all the information held about that particular person no matter which size of devise is being used to display it.
