Thomas Smith Halliday (1832-1904) was the son of Thomas Mansfield Halliday (1795-1864) and his wife Jane (?) He was baptised on the 23rd of February 1832 at Petworth, Sussex, England. He was a wine merchant. He married Catherine Anderson Tamplin on the 10th of October 1865 in the Church of St. Nicholas, Brighton, Sussex. He died aged 72 in 1904 at 44, St. Mary Abbotts Terrace, Kensington.
