He died aged 66 on the 6th of December 1867 at Pyecombe, Sussex, England.

She died aged 74 on the 10th of December 1906 at 44, St. Mary Abbotts Terrace, Kensington, London.

He was for 30 years the editor of the Journal of the Orders and Medals Research Society and a staff member of the Army Museums Ogilby Trust, which serves the regimental and corps museums of the British Army. He will be greatly missed. Requiescat in pace.
