She died aged 74 on the 10th of December 1906 at 44, St. Mary Abbotts Terrace, Kensington, London.

Born in 1927, Major Tamplin became a medallist of the Order in 1998. He was for 30 years the editor of the Journal of the Orders and Medals Research Society and a staff member of the Army Museums Ogilby Trust, which serves the regimental and corps museums of the British Army. He will be greatly missed. Requiescat in pace.
