OXLEY | OXLEY PARKER / COMYNS AND MANY OTHERS - Thank you | Just had to say what a marvellous site this is and what a terrific job you are doing. I spend a month in England each year to do some family sleuthing and also to find and photograph old family homes and graves - it is such an honour to be able to do so isn't it? I also clean the gravesites (very carefully and weed & trim etc and leave them a flower. I would be happy to offer you my photographs (but doubt you will want all 1,008 of them!) so will do some more reading of your site and see what I might be able to offer you. Marvelous service - more power to you, thanks so very much. Wendy Corbett Kelley (Sydney Aust) | 24/02/2010 | 38 |

BOYCE | Invaluable resource | This resource is invaluable.
Just think how it would be if we all did a little bit of the same.
As I have sadly found through my research many headstones are being destroyed by the elements or mindless people, records of burials are not always easy to get to see if you live like i do 300 miles away from where our relations are buried, it is sad to think there may be no record of our relations in years to come.

LEMARCHAND | Correcting data at St. John's, Instow | It was good to find photos of graves in this churchyard, with which my family was much associated in the 19th century. However, my family name gives rise to confusion because there are three 'branches' from the original founder, each branch spelling the surname differently, thus: Le Marchand: LeMarchand; Lemarchand. I thought you should know that I, too, have photographed these family graves at Instow and the surname in all cases reads - and should read - Lemarchand. This is the branch to which I belong. Incidentally our name in all branches is never spelt with a T - not always obvious from the gravestones after all these years. Incidentally, where the relationships and ages of family members are unknown on your website, would you like me to give you the actual details from my family tree? .... more | 05/02/2010 | 11 |
