Reasons why the image for this monument was requested

I have in my possession a dresser trunk belonging to Gertrude Gladstone and dated 1899. I wanted to confirm that the 1888 deathdate originating in one of the Books of Peerage is an error. Thanks!
My Mum had been to the church, but they didn't find the grave. Sorry, I can't help, currently living in the USA.
Cousin
I am trying to ascertain if this memorial is the same as the one described at the Imperial War Museum's War Memorials Register, record number 17741 (I can't link to this record as this form doesn't allow links). A higher-resolution image and/or a transcription would help with reading the text on the memorial. Many thanks.
