My late grandfather Hugh Nettlefold, Worcs County Councillor, Leathersellers Guild, Nettlefold&Sons, Major RFA TA WWII, BA Hons Cambs, Lt RFA TA WWI Eton emeritus scholar, (1889-1977) was the son of Josephine Hicks Buckingham, who married Oswald Nettlefold of Nettlefold&Sons (Chamberlains etc) 54 High Holborn and Leathersellers (Warden), and Josephine was Aubrey's sister and thus my grandfather's Uncle, he was called Uncle Chuckles in the family, I have some photos in one of my grandfather's photo albums. Grandpa had two sisters Lucy (Cambs Tripos) and Joyce (LSE), Lucy worked for the Min of Food during the War, she had an illustrious career on the Marylebone and LCC, and Joyce was Mayor of Cape Town in the 1960s she married C Newton Thompson, who was of the big legal Liberal family there in SA. My cousin's are T H P Haynes Headmaster of Tonbridge School and D E McLaughlin, children of my aunt Felicia (for Felizarda Aubrey's wife) Haynes nee Nettlefold. (My mother Helen J J Nettlefold, always known as Jane). I have traced the Hicks family who were Silk Merchants to Liskaerd. Thankyou Kim.
