WOODSWOODS/KENDRICKI was amazed that this database was not only in existence but also by its quality and ease of use. To be able to obtain an image of a gravestone in Yorkshire from my home on the south coast has not only eased my research but provided a valuable lead. Thank you.

HIGGINBOTTOMWonderful siteI would never imagined that I would be able to get a photo of a headstone from the other end of the country. It was just what I needed to clarify the details. Recording and photographing M.I. is a lonely and time consuming task so well done to all those volunteers who have spent many an hour on bended knees. Keep up the great work as headstones are disapering at a fast rate. Thank you once again

SHARMANWhat a wonderful resource!!What a wonderful resource for family historians, and what a great idea! And how refreshing to share this information with fellow researchers without charging anything! So often our family research is limited by what we can afford!! I requested 6 photos of Sharman headstones and they were send to me the next day!! Brilliant! Thank-you! Keep up the good work! I will definitely volunteer to photograph headstones myself now!

CHAWNERWhat a great service. I could not find this grave myself when I visited the churchyard and it is a surprise addition to my Family Tree.

12/09/2010808
RICHARDSONWhat a great service you are providing! It was wonderful to see a picture of something tangible that's related to a very kind couple that I used to sometimes stay with when I was a kid. They were terrific friends to my Mum and Dad, and they gave me an early insight into life outside of London's inner city. My request for the picture of the gravestone was answered within 24 hours, and it's just very heartening to know that people are taking the trouble to run this service for no material reward. Thanks to the people running the site and to the volunteers going out and taking the pictures.

13/07/2010468

WATSONWATSON, SUTHERLAND, DOUGLASMany thanks for sending me the photo I requested, and so quickly too. I haven't a clue how I have never managed to find your site before but now that I have I know I will be using it a lot, especially for Wick and other places in Scotland. The service you and the other volunteers provide will become a cornerstone for family history researchers. There are other sites that also offer this service but yours is the most user friendly I have seen, everything is easy to find and also incredibly easy to order the images, well done and keep up the good work.

10/10/2010911

LUKERVolunteering and Snapshotting in Time the CemeteryIt's great to get involved. Due to decreasing medium-size particle pollutants, lichen and moss are taking over many graves. The plant life may be very pretty, quite trim and a country garden in many cemeteries near me, but unfortately this has been to the detriment of graves - but some hope now exists!

12/07/2010467
BANHAMVolunteer work at it's bestThese gravestones are in many cases years away from becoming illegible, this work is invaluable. Well done.
