Please note that all ages and dates of birth in red have been calculated and are probably not on the monument.
You should treat the calculated dates of birth with caution as the ages given on monuments are often inaccurate.
The dates and ages on many monuments are also often hard to read.
It is therefore important to use the dates as guides as they may be incorrect.
The same person may appear many times in the above list.
This is because a person can easily be listed on many different monuments.
For instance, a person could be listed on their own grave as well as on the gravestone monuments of their children and their spouse.
Occasionally names will be duplicated because the monument has in error been photographed and indexed twice.
Where a relationship is shown as unknown, this usually means that parts of the monument are illegible and relationship cannot be read.
Where no relationship is given this means that this is normally the first name on the monument.
All the relationships on any particular monument relate to this first named individual.

Many thanks Charles for sending me a photo of the War Memorial in Patrington East Yorkshire which includes JLG (John Lancaster Graham) Howlett in the Roll of Honour - my 1st cousin 1x removed.
Great service thanks and much appreciated.
Thank you so much for the very quick response to my request for a copy of the photo. It helped in my research. This site is new to me, and will be bookmarked for future reference, incredibly useful.
The main family I am researching is Gass, mainly from Annan, but Simon Forrest Graham is a cousin, and I would love to hear from anyone researching along similar lines.

Thank you for making this high resolution image available. I was able to add a little to the details of those mentioned on the stone. The details for the person named at the bottom of the stone, Richard Furneaux Weekes, were not clear on this image, as is often the case for such entries closest to the ground. But a clearer image was found on Google earth's resource and the details found there have been added to correct some errors in the entry here.
Many thanks for the headstone photo.
Tempest as a female given name
Rev Henry E Graham's sister was Ellen Tempest (Hicks) - trying to find why she had the middle name i.e. the link to the Tempest family. My family (Hughes/Marshall) also used Tempest as female name.
I would like to thank you for the gravestone photo of George Robert Reed Graham. It is a lovely clear image to add to the family tree.
