While searching for my own Ridd family in Devon I came across an elaborate and detailed 4page will written by Francis Ridd 1745 to 1821 in which he does not appear to have any wife or child so leaves everything to nephews Thomas and William Ridd. A couple of years later Thomas was written out of the will in a codicil and his share going to his wife Grace and children. Thomas died in Tawstock. I’m trying to to piece together Francis’ family and accurately find where they connect to mine. Thank you for this valuable service since I live in Australia.
